My background began in commercial, film, and documentary production, but the work has always been about more than making things look good. I’ve worked alongside public agencies, nonprofits, global brands, and large production teams to figure out what needs to be communicated, who needs to hear it, and how to make the message meaningful.
Today, that means public affairs and strategic communications, multimedia storytelling, public education, digital content, stakeholder collaboration, and project leadership. I’m particularly interested in work where communication has a real-world impact — helping people understand a service, a technology, a policy, a community initiative, or the people behind an organization.
WHAT I BRING
____
The experience behind the work.
Each of these reflects a different dimension of how I contribute — and they don't often stay in their own lanes. The most useful thing I do is hold all of them at once.
Strategic Communication
Turning goals into messaging that lands with the right audience.
Worked with Ring executive leadership and WCSO command staff to translate larger objectives into public-facing campaigns, content strategies, and communication plans
Experienced moving between technical, policy-driven, and community-facing material — finding the version of the message that works for each audience without losing what matters
Storytelling & Content
End-to-end — from the first conversation to final delivery.
Produced national documentary campaigns for eCivis, Whole Foods, and iEmpathize — each requiring finding the human story inside a complex organizational or social system
Full production capability across video, photography, motion graphics, writing, and digital — with a practical understanding of what it takes to actually ship
Leadership & Collaboration
Getting different ideas & people moving in the same direction
Coordinated crews, contractors, executives, and cross-functional teams at Ring; navigated complex IATSE production hierarchies; currently working across certified and civilian staff at WCSO
My approach is to establish a clear purpose and dependable framework, then give people the space to contribute their own expertise — structure that creates freedom rather than restricts it
Managing Complex Projects
Understand the whole picture & figure out how the pieces fit
Experienced with projects involving many stakeholders, competing priorities, and timelines that shift — from large film sets to public-sector communications campaigns
Break large objectives into practical workflows and clear responsibilities without losing sight of the goal; bring calm and creative problem-solving when things get complicated
HOW I WORK
____
Tending the details, seeing the whole picture.
I like understanding the larger goal, finding the moving pieces, listening to the people involved, and then building a structure that lets everything work together.
That might mean developing a communications strategy, organizing a production schedule, helping an executive clarify a message, troubleshooting a technical problem, or simply figuring out why something isn't working.
I'm comfortable moving between executive conversations, technical details, creative development, production logistics, and final delivery — often in the same day.
Fundamentally free, yet sensibly structured.
Bright-eyed skepticism and excitable tenderness.
Understand who's in the room, what they actually need, and what the larger goal is before anything else. The people closest to the problem usually know things nobody's thought to ask.

Build the structure that lets people do their best work. Clear roles, honest timelines, and enough organization to move without constant check-ins.

Convert organizational objectives, technical realities, and stakeholder priorities into a communication approach everyone can understand and contribute to — regardless of background.

Do the actual work — video, photography, writing, strategy, design — with craft and intention, and with a practical understanding of what it takes to deliver on time.

See it out. Distribution, promotion, feedback, next steps. A good idea doesn't stop being yours once it's handed off.
